Title: A TO Z Of Men And Women Who Excelled in Sports
Author: Sitharaam Jayakumaar
Who is not interested about the life stories of the celebrities!!! And when it’s about the legends we can never ignore the demands of our minds to know about the struggles and the step wise achievements making new history and proving their abilities facing the obstacles and challenges of life and on the other hand we also know that there can be lots of excuses to not to carry on the struggle for your passion but the people with indomitable spirits also exist and this book covers all these dimensions helping the reader to connect with the flow of the lives of some of the sportsperson all over the world who has created history in their fields breaking the previous records.
First of all the author has done the full justification with the title and the content.
The unnecessary elaborations can make any non fictional book monotonous and this is what can’t be observed anywhere in the book, the incidents of the lives have been presented in a brief way keeping in the mind the importance and necessity. Presented in a very simple way with no hyperbole this book will never allow you to feel bore while reading rather it will grab your attention and will fulfill the demands of the reader’s minds creating more desire to go ahead without taking any pause from any single life story.
Not only the achievements and the struggles have been mentioned rather the personal lives of the sportsperson have been described according to the necessity. The life stories starts with the personal life mentioning how the journey of the individual started and how they became interested and passionate in their respective fields and this is the most potential part of the book as it describes how a legend has been grown up and their affections to a certain game. One of the more interesting parts of the book is it contains the life stories of those sportsperson who actually gained fame even before the birth of some readers like me. The author has shared his personal attachments with certain game and also the favorite players but the description has not been made longer naturally the readers will not feel it unnecessary elaboration rather it will help to connect with the author more deeply. Covering up the awards and the tournaments the author has presented the interesting facts of some sportsperson some which includes the personal life activities of those players, their likes and dislikes. Though the book mostly covers the life stories of the sportsperson who have already created history in their fields but the life stories of some talented players have also been mentioned in the book.
The book is a well researched one, as it contains the real life journeys of the legendary figures so naturally it’s an inspiring book also.
The presentation is simple, coining of words is beautiful and the flow I have found very much logical.
Whenever it’s about “games” the truth is “favorite players” varies from man to man, so logically it’s not the drawback of this book but personally I believe some of the players could be replaced with some other ones who have achieved more milestones and created history in their fields.
